Nintendo Entertainment System – 1986 – 1995

The Family Computer (Famicom) and Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) are 8-bit home consoles from the third generation of video game consoles.

The Family Computer released in Japan on July 15, 1983. The console would later be redesigned and rebranded as the Nintendo Entertainment System and released in North America on October 18, 1985 and in Europe on September 1, 1986. A floppy drive add-on — the Family Computer Disk System (FDS) — was released on February 21, 1986 in Japan.
