Mega Drive – part 2

Well cap arrived along with retroupgrades rgb mod that I’d later date. But installed the cap tested and worked perfect.

Decided to ditch the rf sheild after talking with others to work out where the Rpi pico would go so it’s updatable.

After trial and testing, this won’t work. So, the next plan will be to middle board it still using my plan, just placing it in the standard position below.

After tests, I thought I’d give audio change ago from notes I was passed by a discord member.

The important parts are 0805 (the size designation) and the capacitance. They are tiny. If you see the picture above, c91 is a 0805 capacitor, just a little bigger than a terminal pin hole on the pico. Lucky the misses bought me a DM9 Max for Christmas.

So this helped a lot. I started with  the 4700uf and tested Sonic the hedgehog 2. Worked perfectly and sounded slightly clearer. Then popped in the 3900uf souned alot better full belt could hear a hum but putting scart through the retroscaler GBSC pro it goes so happy there.

So, I will be running more tests on gbsc for firmware.
